The Upper Hutt Blockhouse is a 19th Century military stockade in Wallaceville, Wellington, New Zealand. It was created toward the end of the ‘Māori’ wars, to protect the settling European-decent community from the indigenous population who were rightly protesting the inhabitation of their lands.
This interface features several points of interest which can be navigated, and enables the history of the site to be understood remotely. It is created with terrestrial and drone based photogrammetry methods, with contemporary digital techniques to compliment, fill-in or contextualize the site.
